1. Vegemite SurfGroms is a national junior development program for 5-12yr olds that encourages kids to participate in surfing around Australia
2. Vegemite SurfGroms will be available exclusively through Surfing Australia Surf Schools
3. Vegemite SurfGroms will consist of a series of 8 lessons, encompassing 12 hours of professional coaching
4. Vegemite SurfGroms will incorporate the following 2 age categories: MiniGroms and SuperGroms
5. Vegemite SurfGroms will launch a powerful website in September that will be the central resource for information, registration and management of the SurfGroms program
6. Every participant will receive a free Quiksilver backpack containing a Quiksilver t-shirt; rashie; towel; sun-hat; & Wahu beach toys
7. Every SurfGrom will receive additional Wahu rewards and incentives throughout the program

Competition Winner
Torquay’s Rio Heaney lived every grommet’s dream this month when she surfed with some of the stars of the pro tour.
She won a trip to Queensland Pro on the Gold Coast through the Vegemite SurfGroms program sick pic competition.
Rio joined seven other winners as a VIP guest at the Quicksilver Pro in Queensland. The prize included flights, an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the event site and an opportunity to meet and surf with some of the professional competitors.
